Where does the conference take place?

The conference will be held at Felix Meritis, located at Keizersgracht 324, 1016 EZ in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Is Felix Meritis wheelchair-friendly?

Felix Meritis is wheelchair accessible, with an elevator available for most areas.

However, due to the high number of abstract submissions, one of the parallel session rooms on April 10 and the mezzanine (used for poster presentations during lunch on April 10 and 11) will not be accessible to those requiring an elevator. We will do our best to accommodate attendees needing elevator access by scheduling their preferred sessions in one of the other accessible rooms.

We strive to make the conference as accessible as possible. We will do our best to explore possible solutions and ensure you have a positive experience at the conference.

What should I do if I registered for the conference, but did not receive a confirmation email?

Registration confirmation emails are sent automatically to the email address you provided when registering. Please double-check that the email address was entered correctly. If it was, check your spam or junk folder, as the confirmation email might have been filtered there. If you still cannot locate it, please contact us at conference2025@algosoc.org for assistance.

Can I attend for only one day?

We highly encourage attendees to participate for both days of the conference. The program has been carefully designed to offer a comprehensive experience over the full duration, and we believe attending both days will provide the most value. However, for those outside academia, we do offer the option to purchase a single-day ticket for the second day. Of course, they are also welcome to register for the full two-day program.

Where can I find the conference programme?

A programme outline is available on here. The detailed programme will be shared with all registrants one month before the conference.

Will you arrange a hotel for me?

Participants are encouraged to book their own accommodations. For your convenience, please see our hotel recommendations.

Do you offer visa application support?

We provide visa invitation letters to both presenters and non-presenters. These letters will be issued once you have successfully registered for the conference. Non-presenters may be asked to provide additional proof of their participation in the conference. See more details here.

Will I get a discount if I don’t attend the walking dinner?

Unfortunately, we only offer tickets that include all activities, so no discount is available for opting out of the walking dinner on the evening of April 10. Please note that the dinner accommodates all dietary requirements, which you can specify in the registration form.

Am I reimbursed when I cancel my registration?

We understand that plans may change. As outlined in our Cancellation Policy, cancellations made on or before 28 February 2025 are eligible for a refund, subject to a €17.50 administrative fee. Cancellations made after this date will incur a €75 cancellation fee, deducted from your refund. To cancel your registration, please refer to the confirmation email you received at the time of registration. This email contains a link for updating your registration or de-registering.

Until when can I cancel my registration?

You can cancel your registration at any time. Please note that if you cancel before 28 February 2025, an administrative fee of €17.50 will be charged. For cancellations made after this date, the fee will be €75. Please see our Cancellation Policy for more details.

If I am arriving at Schiphol Airport, how can I best reach the city center of Amsterdam?

Schiphol Airport is well connected to Amsterdam's city center by public transport. In the airport's main hall, you can purchase a train ticket from one of the ticket machines, which provides a direct connection to Amsterdam Central Station. The train ride takes approximately 13 minutes and costs €4.90 for a one-way ticket. See more information here.

How do I check-in at the conference if I have lost my QR code?

The QR code is part of the confirmation email you received after having registered for the conference. If you have lost this email, please reach out to us at conference2025@algosoc.org.

What food will be served during the conference?

During the conference, we will provide coffee, tea, and other drinks, along with lunches, snacks, and a walking dinner. When registering, you can indicate your dietary requirements. Please note that, due to the scale of the conference, we are unable to accommodate specific individual preferences. We offer buffet-style options for both lunch and dinner to ensure there are plenty of choices for everyone.
